    Aspect ratio

Should I care about aspect ratio? I bought raw fabric big enough to do what I want with, and I plan on 10ft wide. I’ll be running the optoma g2000hdr, and it says it can do 16:9 and 4:3. Anyone with experience have an opinion on what is better? TIA

No, as long as you have a projector capable of 16:9 or 16:10.

The Aspect Ratio can be anything you want with a custom resolution. Set the projector to native auto/16:9 and mount the projector so the height fills the screen, then set a custom resolution to trim the sides to get a full screen. This allows a resolution that's not stretched or compressed and looks natural.

This a 4K write up but it works with any resolution.

My screen will be about 10 high and 11 feet wide, so very close to 1:1 ratio. I know you can use custom settings to do 1080 by 1080, would a 4k resolution be possible with this ratio? I spent about $1,500 on a laptop and projector (671st) and I'm trying to decide if I want to return both and spend more to go 4k. Thank you in
