  • Minimum requirements for a golf simulator

    Hi,
I want to realize that on little budget - and little place. I ready have a good beamer and a garmin R10.
Is it possible to realize a simulator in a room of 5.2x4. 8 meters (more or less 15 feet times 15 feet) room and by using a practice net and impact screen like the ones from simtech golf? Will I be happy with that afterwards?
Thanks for any opinions on this

    I’m in a garage 5m x 5m approximately… with a 2.8m ceiling.
Plenty of room for golf, and a stool for a second player. Sadly, not enough room for a couch like some have!

You only need enough room to swing plus another foot for the screen. Ideal is 14.5 feet wide by 17 feet long with 10 foot ceilings.

I agree with mthunt you only need room enough to swing. Be sure to test different lengths of clubs driver to wedge. The height of the golfer(s) using the simulator dictate your room size. If you'll have guests hitting that are taller you may need more room height. Also be aware of features in the room like soffits, lighting, crown molding, vents/ducks that might get in the way of a swing or net/enclosure.
