  • My DIY Putting Green/Simulator Room

Hi guys! Here's my simulator/putting green room I made last winter.

Foam inserts for the stance mat - topped off with cheap black artificial turf. Sig pro softy for the hitting aspect.
The flooring is a 1.5" subfloor I made - topped off with this padding ----> NIKE Grind Padding
The carpeting is camry golf carpet which gives the best roll and saved me hundreds(if not thousands vs artificial putting turf). The carpet
adhered to the padding and rolls 11.5 speed. The camry putting green carpet can found here ---> Camrygolf.com (they're the guys that helped me with the flooring/putting area and the hitting/stance mat.)

Overall Ive been super happy with this setup. I can putt and hit balls any time. Glad I used the area around the stance mats wisely to add the putting aspect into it, rather than a wasted space.

    Hope you guys like it!

Looks great! I was going to pull the trigger on NP45 for a turf upgrade in my sim and then I came across Camry Carpet. Would it be suitable to use in the stance area as well do you think? I'm in Canada so I need to reach out to them and see if they will ship up here and also curious how much it will save rather than going turf all over.

Looks amazing. How far back is the hitting area and projector from the screen? And how big is your screen?

I went with the full stance just for the added traction and the longevity of my putting area. Camry's website had the full stance mats at any dimension and any thickness. Im in Toronto and they had no problem getting the product to me. Turf was much more expensive and saved me hundreds if not thousands. Some turf options would range from 2500-4000$ which was way out of my budget.

Placed the hitting mat 12' away from the back wall. The projector screen is 15' wide.
