  • Looking for a good short throw projector

I will have a screen size of 14'Wx9.5'H. Ideally I am looking for a short throw projector that I can mount around 10'-11' from the screen. I was looking at the BenQ TK710ST, but wasnt sure. Want something that will fill the screen.

Hoping to spend less than $2k

What's the requirement for mounting 10-11ft from the screen? That's an odd distance for most projectors. You would need a 0.62 throw ratio to mount 10.5ft screen to lens.

    TK710STI, AH700ST, AK700ST: 0.69-0.83 throw ratio, 11.65-14ft, screen to lens
    LK830ST, UHZ35ST: 0.5 throw ratio, 8.44ft screen to lens

For that screen size, I recommend a 4k projector and also something with higher lumens. Reach out to 365 Golf Design, they're experts in projectors and placement in your space. https://www.365golfdesign.com/

I have owned the TK710STi. It is a nice projector. However, the size of your screen will be pushing it to its limits. In my latest set up (approx 118 x188 screen), I installed the BenQ LK936ST because of the size of the screen and more importantly the increase in lumens. The TK710STi would be completely washed out unless the room was very dark.

Thank you. Unfortunately that is a little out of my price range.

The reason I am looking to hang it around 10'-11' ft is because that is where the brace is to hold the projector. We are putting this is a old raquetball court that has ceilings 20 ft high. So to hang from ceiling in not the best. The launch monitor (ProTee VX) will be about 6 1/2' from screen and projector will be behind the launch monitor 3'-4' feet back.
