I'd be grateful if anyone has any ideas on how to upgrade my garage retractable system so that my stance/hitting mats store against the wall with pulley etc. I have two 5'Wx10'L Country Club Elite mats placed long edge to long edge along screen.
Currently the best I've come up with after many iterations is the 2nd pic below where the 1st mat closest to the screen is screwed to a 2x4 hinged to fold against the wall and the top of mat locks under an upside down L bracket on wall. The 2nd mat is rotated up against it and then 'lifted' into brackets on the edge of 2x4. A horizontal lengthwise rope thru eye bolts keep it secure so rolling computer cart and my truck can all fit against the far wall of my garage.
What I'd like to be able to do is have the mats secured together and put in place with a manual / auto pulley attached somehow to edge of mats furthest from screen, lift & hinge up and be secured so rolling cart and my truck still fit along wall. This would hopefully also allow me to move to having an elbow friendlier hitting strip added into the current and future mats.
Any thoughts about how to make this happen or completely different solutions you've come up with would be appreciated!
