So I've started my garage sim build. As you see I've raised my garage door rails. He's coming back to raise higher. I'm looking to have putting turf for the turf area then obviously hitting area. Wondering what would yield the best results for the underneath we portions ....I was thinking just fiber carpet pad(heard that's a good insulator and moisture protector) with the turf over that. I will have to find a way to make the turn and hitting surface even. Would only fiber carpet pad be enough under the turf or I should add something else and if so for what reason? Thank you

If you have the height I recommend you create a level floor with 2x4's that are tapered. If not you can use a product called Dricore or even gym mats. It all depends what you want and how extensive.

I’d personally layer a fiber carpet pad under the turf for insulation and moisture protection, but also consider a thin layer of closed-cell foam or rubber under that. It helps even out any small dips in the subfloor and adds a bit of shock absorption for your hitting area.
