Side protection

As you can see I have a little bit of exposed concrete at the bottom 10 inches of my wall which I guess needs to be protected as my impact screen will be retracting and going down right next to that. Not sure if I should have some sort of retractable curtains on the side or build out the sheetrock a little bit to make it even with the concrete footings and then put foam pad blocks. Any advice

For a garage sim you can put up think curtains from amazon and a cheap curtain rod. You can also but side nets on Amazon.
