Impact screen question

I am setting things up in my garage which has 9ft ceiling. My goal is to attach my screen at the top and leave the sides free. I read some people have used some weight to anchor the bottom as well with snake sand bags. I was wondering if anyone has a similar setup for attaching their screen. If so, how much longer did you order your screen to be able to weigh down at the bottom and does gravity do a good job at keeping the screen without too many wrinkles?

I don't see how this would work, what are you trying to accomplish? If its the ability to move your screen there are lots of retractable solutions either diy or retail.

If you want to weight down the bottom use some 1/2 or 1 inch PVC pipe fill it with sand and glue caps on the ends. From there pad the pipe with pool noodle or pipe insulation. Then fold the screen back over onto itself making a pocket for the pipe to go through and use glue, sew or clips to hold the pocket around the PVC pipe. This is how mine is set up and it works fine. I just use clips on the sides of the screen to form the pocket sewing would be better but outside of my wheelhouse.
