Very nice. I definitely like how the netting is looking here. And I would totally just leave the shanked ball in there forever, thats hilarious and would be a good laugh to anyone you showed your sim to in the future, just would have to make sure not to ever shank a ball directly into that exact spot ever again or it could be a dangerous scene with the ball shooting around like a bullet haha

It was actually very strange. I hit the ball, heard the loud bang as it hit the wall, then I braced for it to bounce around and nothing happened. Took a bit to find it. Wife was not too happy. Gotta get some stuff to patch it today. Lol.Originally posted by BamaGamblerGreat work! I bet that was scary when you shanked it. I shanked one in my garage the other day but it didn't embed like yours did. Play it as it lies. 😀

It was a good day today! My screen is here and installed! It ended up great and I installed the carpet on 3 sides to give it a finished look. Now that the screen is up I need to move the projector back more to cover the screen. That will be for another day though.

That looks awesome! Like how you have the screen and all boxed into that nice area, makes it super clean looking. And great use of the carpeting, amazing how a little black boarder makes it look that much better. Very impressive so farOriginally posted by Joshsmit56001 View PostIt was a good day today! Thanks ironstrokes. Had to make some adjustments. I originally folded over the edge and used tarp clips to hold the screen to the bungee cords. This works for a little while they always ended up pulling off. I decided to purchase webbing and see straps to the screen. This seems to work better but has not been fully tested. I also ended up sewing the bottom of the screen more because of fraying. I basically folded the edge one more time and sewed again. More to come!

Looks great. Keep posting the progress.
I used the same carpet suggested for looks to surround my hitting mat and putting mat. Looks good in my dark room.
Tarp clips work very well if they are good ones. I bought some from amazon and they were terrible. The EasyKlips from Home Depot work great.

I couldn't fit the bungees through the easyklips so decided to sew. It didn't take too long after I got the hang of it. I like this better anyways so it worked out saved me like $10.Originally posted by boerdocLooks great. Keep posting the progress.

Got another update, this one pretty big. I ended up getting sick of pulling the platform up every time I wanted to use it so I mounted a hoist on the wall to take all the work out!! So much better, especially after a round of hitting balls. Another issue that occurred during this time was that I broke the mdf platform top. This used 1/2" material that is used to make cabinets. Found out it doesn't work great the hard way. I originally bought it because of its smoothness, but I will replace with the particle board used specifically for flooring. The top is not as smooth but should be good enough once a carpet is placed on top.

It’s been a few years but I am bringing this thread back from the dead! My Accusport vector pro went to crap on me, and my wife gave me the go ahead to purchase the Uneekor QED! I contacted Jay at golf simulator videos on YouTube and he hooked me up with his business partner for the product. Great people to work with! I also got a deal on TGC 2019 bundle so I will be playing that mostly. Just got the ignite software with the Uneekor QED for now.
A couple of future plans
1. Buy a better projector. This will be long term after spending the money on the Uneekor
2. I want to find a better option to cover the edges of the screen. I was thinking some black curtains or something
3. I need to find a way to make it so flop shots or other shots that hit my ceiling don’t damage it. I thought about painting 1/2 inch fly wood and screwing into the ceiling or maybe some boards that hand down the the ball would hit instead.
4. I also want to add a barrier that hangs from the ceiling that I can pull out when I play so that I don’t have to move both cars out of the garage. Had some shots that flew across the garage and don’t want some dents in the car. Lol
I will try and post with each upgrade I do and the actual install of the Uneekor QED!
