Hey Guys,
Thanks for everything again! I made a post on 02/16/2017 with some questions on my setup. The feedback was great and I finished my build about a month ago. I've been procrastinating showing you guys my setup because I can't stop golfing! In a month I think I've shaved at least 4 strokes off my handicap, and honestly IRL its probably closer to 8.
Set up is in my single car garage (I still have full access to park both cars in the conjoined 2 car garage).
Specs -
SkyTrak + TGC lifetime
Supertex 108x96 + westcoastnetting.com net behind it
$5 walmart meshed-camo for ceiling protection
Optoma GT1080 with cheetah universal mount, protected by basket from home depot
DIY hitting mat from previous threads on this forum - works great and saved about $500 from the real feel mats
For the space between the hitting mat and impact screen I have a warped piece of plywood under a layer of crappy carpet with these cheap felt 6x8 carpet things from Lowe's, it actually looks decent and cost almost nothing, I'm just going to buy a big sheet a plywood to make it level and clean it up.
Blackout curtains on sides and a bedsheet + pillow cases to make it look a little more aesthetic on the right side.
Baby changing station converted into PC desk.
Computer is my old gaming computer - gtx 770, runs fine.
Thanks to everyone on these forums going back to 2014. I researched this for over a year and a half and some of the posts I read were dated back a long time. There's nothing better than teeing off at Augusta at 10PM and finishing at 1AM with a few buddies. Only on a SIM!
Best,
Eric
