I’ve looked over this site quite a bit in hopes to educate myself. Ha, I don’t understand all the abbreviations, software talk, etc. I haven’t purchased a thing-nota-zero for my garage. I’m starting out slow to make sure I’m doing what’s best for me, my room availability and $ since the wife thinks I’ve lost my mind. By the way, some of you folks have unbelievable rooms.
My first thoughts after studying this endevour for a couple weeks. Start with a Net Return & turf. After that “settles in” (wink-wink); Skytrak, iPad & Flatscreen.
Does this thinking sound familiar? If so, I’m open to ANY suggestions. Have a great weekend. Getting cold in KY, I need to start phase 1 soon.

Coffman I hung my screen on a Track as pictured in one of the pictures below. I got the tack and accessories form a site recommended by folks on this forum: https://www.curtain-tracks.com/

legendsfan The True Strike Sections are interlocked and they do flex (and therefore move). They can be assembled in almost any order (obviously the tray has to go on the end) I have also noticed the entire unit will creep a little and has to be readjusted every so often (about 100 swings or so). I have included a picture of how I set mine up with the SkyTrak. Hope this helps.

EDIT: One other thing I thought about with the True Strike when using SkyTrak: The Gel Section has an indented logo on both ends of the section. I had to take a piece of carpet/astroturf and attach it to the end where we putt so the ball rolls " a little" better off the end... It won't affect accuracy but visually and audibly, it was unacceptable.

What type of flooring is your TrueStrike mat on? I plan on ordering one today and I'm hopeful with it sitting on carpet will stay in place.

My Sim room is in a renovated barn and rather than jackhammer 75 year old cement, I chose to cover the cracks with rubber mats (actually used for horses or livestock) that I got from Tractor Supply Company. Turns out it adds a level of cushion between the cement and the mat and is reasonably slip proof. A strange application for sure but it works!

Hey there. I just got my Sky Trak a month ago. I got the CCE because when I read the reviews, everyone was recommending it. Well a month later I have develop wrist issues. Now I am so traumatized at the CCE that it messed up my swing completely, not to mention the pain that won't go away. I am taking a break from it and I am planning on getting a strip of Fiberbuilt. Hopefully that fixes my first issue.

Second issue, indoor swing. I have moved into a brand new house and had the basement upgraded to 11 feet. While the ceiling is no issue, I have not taken into consideration the width of my hitting area. I only have a 10 foot wide space and it makes me uncomfortable swing my driver. I have gotten used to hitting all my irons a month later but no success with the driver yet. I got a cage type set up and I am thinking of tearing it down and try a Net Return since it is way smaller and it might fix my mental issues.

I have no complaints with my ST unit. I am very satisfied and happy with the reading. It gives me the real world yardages that I get. I just have to figure out the mat and the fear of hitting my driver indoors. Good luck on your project!

I can't wait till I set up my ST outdoors at our backyard this summer.

My mistake by the way is I bought the ST unit and the mat from a vendor online. They were great, don't get me wrong. But I purchased the unit because it was on sale and bought the mat all at once in October. We did not move to the new house till November so my 30 day period have lapsed. I could not return the mat anymore so I am stuck with it. If I did not rush things I could have still returned it and tried a different one.

It is very important that you will be able to test the stuff you buy and return them if they don't work out for you. This game we play, I tell you, makes us crazy and makes us do crazy things.

Btw, right now I just use my laptop and connect it to an old LCD tv. I bought a projector from Amazon, a very cheap one. That should arrive this week. My cage, if ever it does not work out for me, will double as a movie screen. In that way, my wife won't divorce or worse, kill me for dropping a huge amount on the basement upgrade lol
