Hi from Australia. Noob to golf sims

    G'day,

Been playing golf again for a year following a 16 year lay off. Hooked again. Decided to look into launch monitors etc and scored a used Foresight Sports GC2 from the Aus distributor 👌

Now my basic garage/shed project design has expanded significantly 😬 $$$$

Any how, will be trawling through the forum and learning what I can.

    Cheers,

    Richo

G'day HookShank! Welcome to the forum. I'm relatively new to it myself, and let me tell you that it is a fantastic source of information. The guys on here are both knowledgeable and helpful... it's awesome!

        Thanks Kalcormier and gnomike 👍

        Update:
        I purchased a TGC + ProTee 2.0 software package new from Par2Pro

Hope I don't have major issues, but I'm seeing lots of curly questions already answered in the forum repeatedly. I'll read before begging for explanations 😉

My unit comes with the basic Foresight Sports FR1 software with range and one course.

It's serial number starts with A108xx. Apparently January 2016 build. It was used by a golf shop for instruction/fitting for approximately 6 months. Already budgeting for a new mega flash in the future.

        Pretty exciting stuff hey 😂👍

Sourcing projector, screen, already have both a capable gaming PC and laptop but the PC doesn't get used anymore so it'll be permanently setup and registered with my software etc.

Garage and entertainment room build is a major job. 💰

You used the term 'mega' flash instead of superflash, so I assume you already know this, but @andygg1986 has a post for his DIY mega flash made on a commercial 3D printer that seems to be as good or better than the original superflash, and at a fraction of the cost. I bought one from him and he was really quick to ship it. It looks to be really well made. I'm almost looking forward to my old flash burning out lol

G'day HookShank! Welcome to the forum, there is a lot of good information to be found on it. The build can be a choir that is for sure, but done right sure makes it worth wild.

Second half of this year will be interesting once my GC2 arrives next week. Practice or play daily now. Removed all woods from my bag on 27th March due to sore back (injury), getting armsy and hooking the shit out of most shots 😒👎

Added a 2 iron, 60° M grind & a second Scotty Cameron putter, a Newport 2.5 studio design...bit lighter than my Pro Platinum for hard fast greens ⛳

And the BRAG 👏 dropped 3.1 shots in 13 days!
            - Not sure how your handicap system works, but basically all but 2 recent scores are 'flags' and I dropped under 10 for the first time ever 👌see attached Golflink screen shot.

Won't be a real single figure playing handicap till under 9.5, but still starts with a 9 😂

            Exciting times.

gnomike yeah I read that thread and would be interested in one of those "mega flash" units in the future. 👍

Igor-247-golf thanks, I'll be in touch. Interested in sourcing the screen raw material. Did you do that in Australia or import? The aus foresight Sports distributor wants to sell me what he has. Yet to ask specs and price. I'm guessing I can beat his offer though 😉

Heya, send me the size you want (PM or email me igor@247-golf.com) and I'll send you a price. I have a factory that makes them for me - been making and using them for 7+ years in my indoor venues and customer set ups.
