New member here just saying hello!
Back story....
2 years agao I was a 3.6 handicap in the UK but then my son signed an academny football contract and my daughters gymnastics started so I ended up being the dad taxi and only playing one round every 2 - 3 weeks and although always seemed to shoot in the 70's handicap just kept going up 0.1 (CONGU) and now off 5.7. Consiquently was getting limited enjoyment from my membership and havn't even been to my course since September! I am giving up my club membership and will just play the odd social game going forward. I have hit more balls in the last 2 weeks since having a Skytrak than I have in probably 6 months. Also plaing quite a bit with my Son courses like Augusta par 3 etc. so cant wait til I have this up and running properly inside!
I have done well in 2 UK national compititions: - the matchplay championship in 2013 where the real prize was making it to the grand final in Dubai (Mongomery) and was filmed on Sky Sports and also made it to the grand final of the Titleist Matchplay championship in 2018 and playedd the grand final in Val Do Lobo.
I am currently just using a net outside with skytrak and laptop running TGC2019. great apart from when in a green side bunker as like in todays Q school round I just cant get out of it unless hit ball over the net
and risk hitting house, onto road etc. The UK weather also isnt ideal as it has been very cold, windy and raining so adding to the difficulty. I am also struggling with alignment where I am using it outside, positive my swing changes when I have structure in my sight line to the right although slowly getting used to it.
Plan:
We have a 9m x 4.5m outbuilding which is having the roof removed and raised up to give me around 11ft height to swing in.
