Hello, a keen golfer registering here. I purchased the TGC19 and was looking for more information about it and got here. My experiences to real simulators limit to Trackman lessons with my pro and for couple sessions in a simulator in an indoor golf facility.

Welcome to the forum Jaaba. There are a lot of guys here with a lot of experience and who are very helpful so feel free to ask anything.

I don’t see too many golf courses from Finland on TGC 2019 so we’ll be looking forward to you designing courses in the not too distant future.

Thanks! I noticed the great tutorial and software for using LIDAR data. In Finland the data collected by the Government is open source, now I just need to find out the cost of it.

If the data is open source, it should be free. You just need to find where to get it. We also have free data here in Japan but it is not high resolution data and it took a lot of work for me to convert to LAS format, but I finally figured it out and, while not perfect, it is a good starting point. I will warn you though, it is addictive. After just a couple of months, I can't count how many times I have looked up in the middle of a course design to notice that it was 3 am....
