SkyTrak vs Mevo plus software cost

I am currently in process of deciding between ST and Mevo+ and was wondering about the additional costs in terms of getting quality course content.

Maybe I am reading this wrong, does it cost $2500 for E6 connect, as well as adding on an additional subscription if I choose, or can I get the subscription without the initial $2500.

Alternatively what are your suggestions of other software, I've seen GSV YouTube do AwesomeGolf, and I know of TGC 2019, what would you guys suggest as the best bang for your buck in terms of getting onto the course with either of these units? Additionally, how many of you with Mevo have just stuck with the iOS FS golf and how is your experience with that?

Tgc 2019 is hands down the best. Most courses, best graphics, most online players, cheaper.

I THINK you can get e6 for just the annual subscription (I will let someone who knows for sure verify that). But even if you can, think of it this way: Just 3 years of the cheapest subscription fees for e6 is the equivalent of a lifetime subscription to TGC. So TGC requires a little bit more up front, but ends up being way cheaper in the long run. On top of that, TGC has way more courses (including that very famous one in Georgia), course design, a more robust tournament scene, and most people agree the graphics are better. As far as bang for your buck, I think it's hard to compare it to anything.

As far as Skytrak vs. Mevo+, if you're just practicing and hitting full shots, Mevo+ is great and has an advantage over Skytrak in that there is far less shot delay and is easier for righty-lefty play. However, if you plan on playing a lot of sim golf, Skytrack has a big advantage with chipping and putting due to being a camera-based system vs. a radar system. The chipping and putting issues with Mevo+ are well-documented (just see all the various threads on this forum), and it's critical to be able to have putts and short chips read consistently well when playing on a sim. And that's probably the Skytrak's strongest area IMO. The chipping and putting was a big reason why I stayed away from the Mevo and went with Skytrak and if I had to do it all over again I would make the same decision hands down. Just my two cents.

Drew.StLouis Have you done any research on the Protee simulator hardware? If you shop around used, you can find one within the same price range as the mevo or skytrak. It's insanely accurate and also gives you the PRICELESS club face/path data. Also, Tcg2019 all the way. Good luck.
