Curious how people did outdoors after building their simulator, I am typically a bogey golfer and really struggled today with my putter. I have several rounds in the sim under my belt as I have been tweaking it along the way.

First outdoor round post simulator build

I played about 50 rounds in new simulator over winter before getting outside. Important not to forget sim rounds are easier. I found driver and irons better. Uneven or bad lies took some time to get use to. Wedges OK. I learned to putt analytically inside where reading a distance meant hitting it a certain pace. When I converted my approach to doing this outside, putting got better than before.
Don't loose the faith. Just gotta figure out what works.

I played probably 80 rounds this past winter on my QED simulator build. My first round outside was better than any outdoor round last summer. Some people say simulator is easier.. And I agree to an extent.. BUT, I will say I have built a lot of my local courses in TGC2019 using Lidar and a lot of patience.. And my outdoor rounds and indoor rounds are roughly the same. Im a better putter outdoors which saves me some strokes. But, at the same time, I swear putting on my simulator has made me a much better putter outside. I'm a 5 handicap and shoot between 72-82 inside or out.

My play this summer has been significantly better than last summer (installed Skytrak build in December).
A couple specific areas I would not have thought would benefit are (a) course management and (b) 20-70 yard wedge play.

Appreciate the comments. I agree with the course management, I noticed I considered alternate shot options that I previously would have just used PW\SW on. I think one takeaway for me was to get 15-20 minutes on the putting green before heading out for my round. With the Mevo+ I headed to the range before the round to get some data. Overall, I am certainly enjoying the simulator and being in Minnesota it will be a much more enjoyable winter being able to mix in golf!
