  • Hi from sunny Scotland

Hi guys, I'm Craig I've come across the forum a few times while browsing for info over the years, so I thought I would join up, I play my golf out of Monifieth golf club where we have 2 x 18 hole links courses and Tom Watson is a member who always plays every time he is over in Scotland, Monifieth was the first links course Tom played before winning the Open at Carnoustie. We have hosted numerous R&A events including the Jr Open while the 150th was at St Andrews, we are used as an Open qualifying course for Carnoustie, and this summer it's for the senior Open. I'm also a member of Carnoustie golf links.

I have used a Mevo + for over 3 years now, 90% for practice into a net in the garden or at the range, this year i am converting my garage into a sim room for use over the winters, as most of my use with the Mevo is practice and only 10% sim golf I mostly use Awesome golf coaching and the Flightscope range, the little amount of sim golf I play I use Awesome golf and the e6 that was free with the Mevo.

Building the sim room in the garage I'm hopeful I will have enough room to use my Mevo + and still get good numbers before I then buy into GSpro and such like, If the Mevo struggles then the plan will be to go camera based with a GC3.

Anyway, that's enough rambling from me and I'm away to look through all the sim build threads.

Welcome Craig and thanks for posting. I find the GC3 more accurate than the Mevo plus. Protee VX is an excellent option as well.

Hi Craig - I'm in the Scottish Borders. Just bought a Mevo + too and looking to start using it. What net do you use in your garden? Any recommendations? I'm looking to build a garden room later this year too. Good luck with it all
