I am planning on building myself and son a golf simulator. We have a 12'x16'x10' room and we want something that can give us club, impact, and ball data. We would like to be able to use it in our room but also out on the driving range. I have seen several videos on your Square golf Omni launch monitor and love how it can use any balls but We are concerned if out room is big enough for it. I am a 55 yearly male that shoots 85 to 95 on Taylor Made QI irons and my son is 24 who has been playing for 4 years and shoot in the 80's on Mizuno JP925 Hot Metal. Any information and help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks and you guys have a great weekend.

If you are both right handed, you aren't going to have any issues with any of the portable optical units in regards to your space.
I will say that I can count on one hand how many times I took my GC2 to the range (when the battery was still good). You quickly realize that range balls are pretty bad which results in bad data. If you belong to a nice club with premium range balls then disregard. I will use a cheap radar unit occasionally at the range if I'm doing a wedge session.
