what's up fellas. i just purchased a foresight gc2 and hmt along with foresight software. I'm building a 15x20x11 hitting area inside a room with a 10x25 ft green behind my hitting area. then a bar and lounge area next to my putting green. i'll include some pics once the project is complete. i've been working on this for about 6 months, wasn't sure what to buy. i thought about the fullswing, trugolf, trackman, or foresight. I hope i made the right decision. i'm sure there are many products out there that are good, hard to pick for sure. My main concern with foresight is the graphics. It seems like they lack what i'm seeing online from other companies. now that i have foresight software and equipment, can i still get other softwares that will work along with foresight equipment?? if so, how does this happen? I am perfectly comfortable with foresight's accuracy because i've used it and it works, but the graphics leave a bit to be desired. any suggestions on the best graphics out there (along with online tournaments) and how do i get these graphics with my simulator? thanks.

First off, Welcome to this site. You are joining a great resource of knowledge and experience.
As to the graphics, just get The Golf Club. It is great simulation software and we have tournaments every week, both Net score and Gross score. There may be others out there but TGC is the best, IMHO.
Also, the easiest way to follow what is current in the forum is to Bookmark the "today's posts" of this site. There is always something interesting that you did not know that you needed to know. If you know what I mean.

I have to have a lot of slack. I tried it that tight..... the image looks great but I am too old to dodge tiny little white balls coming back at me. I have a small dent in my countertop.... about 15 feet behind me. I agree that the image looks great.Last edited by keither5150; 11-15-2016, 11:22 PM.

Maybe if you had a foam mattress pad or something glued to the backside..... Maybe you could run it that tight...... I think that I am going to try that. Instead of the ball pushing the fabric back and then forward. It should just absorb. Maybe quieter as well.... Mine is quite loud. You wouldn't have to do the whole screen just 2 or 3 feet by 8 feet..... mind made up...... looking for foam.

I'm currently using a more temporary basement setup with net only since selling my house which had my sim room. But I read on here recently that someone used foam and a comforter to completely eliminate bounce back. They used the comforter as a pouch for the memory foam more or less then put grommets in the comforter and hung it closely behind the screen.Originally posted by keither5150 View Post

Projector is a Hitachi CP-A220N Ultra Short Throw Projector HDMI XGA 2200 Lu I picked it up off eBay for about $250 two years ago. I couldn't find the info on the screen but it to was picked up off eBay it has four pockets around the out side, I have a sand filled 1 1/2" nylon tube in the bottom one on the screen and two 4" foam egg crate mattresses on the wall behind it. The balls do roll back but don't fly back. keither5150 looks like you figured it out, works for me.Comment

First picture was before hitting a ball this show during use, as you can see the ball deforms the screen but after a few minutes it smooths out not really super tight I think the sand filled nylon tube helps the most.Comment

Vincent_Vega About 4" off the foam and foam is 4" thick and on the wall so about 8" total from the wall it's self egg crate facing out, balls come off the screen and hit the floor about 3 to 4 foot in front of screen and roll back. Looking into hanging a packing quilt behind the screen to help deaden the ball on impact.Comment
