  • px2 connection issues

I'll try to give the short version of what I have going on. I bought a used GSA px2 plus trigger array and vcam. I've had it for 2 weeks so far and I cannot even get my computer to recognize the px2 mat. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my usb drivers. I have plugged and unplugged and tried every usb port I have. I have made sure in the control panel that the correct port corresponds to which usb port it is running off of. In my settings menu of windows it shows that the px2 is connected and running properly. However in the gsa control panel it does not show it's connected. I called Martin at GSA and he couldn't come up with much other than the mat is not being recognized by the control panel. He told me to buy a new serial to usb converter, but if that doesn't work then he thought there was a problem with the px2. I exhausted quite a bit of time and resources trying to figure out the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi rhart, I recently worked through the following connection problem with my PX2 mat. Make sure you have the "serial enumerator" checkbox UNCHECKED per the attached screen shot. I don't recall this being documented anywhere but it caused me the same problem you are describing.

    Hope this helps...

About 1/2 way down the page it shows how to set what com port the mat is on.

If you follow all of the steps.... the mat may be faulty.

It is probably worth trying a new/different serial to USB adapter as Martin suggested if you haven't done that yet.

            Rhart,

You may want to switch from the trigger sensor to the LS camera. It works fantastic and allows you to set up a smooth putting surface.
