That's freakin awesome. I honestly like how that island hole looks much more than sawgrass. Something about it being out in a large body of water like that makes it that much more daunting. Thats crazy you play there weekly, looks like it would cost a butt load to play. Wish I was in Idaho or i'd 100% take you up on that offer!

Yes, Let us know which course is the best of the bunch. I have played that course on my Red Chain software before TGC. I liked it so much that I have it on my bucket list. There are so many courses on TGC that I haven't had a chance to play Coeur d'Alene yet. I am too busy practicing for the next event. We should consider putting this course on the list of alternates for the tour. Looks like top notch service.

This course is a destination course for many. We get to meet people who are going through their bucket list of courses from all over the world. It is celebrating the 25th anniversary this year. For a resort course, I think that it is pretty reasonable fees. Yes it is expensive, but compared to many, it is a great deal. My costs are about $5500 per year for unlimited golf for me and my son (wife doesn't play). We also have access for the whole family to all the resort amenities, 2 pools, boat cruises, workout gym etc.. The forecaddies are included but we usually tip $30-$40 per bag per round. The massage pre-round is also included if you like that. The amenities are topnotch. The rounds are almost always 4.5 hours or less as they go off every 10 minutes and the forecaddies follow the ball ahead of you so there are fewer lost balls. Caddies are great, They rake bunkers, fix pitch marks, pull and hold the flag, read putts, clean balls around the green, make new bag tags, get your lunches etc..
Normally the fees range from $150-$225 per round. My guests only pay $80. You are treated very well there.

I like the protee version of the course but I have not looked at all of them in TGC. I will do that today. Now that we have concede hole it will be easier. I know that one course has the floating/moveable green at 200 yards. That is a long way for the size of the green in the sim version. From the white tees, IRL, it is usually about 150 yards. But the wind is almost always in your face off the lake. I play anything from 8 iron to 4 hybrid there to account for the wind. 145-200 yards range.

My sim room has a heater . No beds but golf is free there.

Of the courses available, The Protee version in TGC is by far the best. It is not a duplicate or copy but its layout is the closest. At 6369 yards it would be a good tournament course. I would guess the scores would be low. Except for the floating green there is no real danger. Some lateral water but no OB.

To be clear about courses. In TGC, the Coeur d'Alene resort (protee) is the best. When searching just look for "Coeur".

The Protee course for the Coeur d'Alene resort is very good also for those that have Protee.

Thats not bad at all, was expecting much more for the membership fee you are paying. And get to use all the amenities as well, that little extra definitely makes it worth it. And greens fees aren't terrible for a bucket list course. I would definitely try to connect with you if I was ever up there to play, $80 seems like a steal to play there. Im gonna have to check out the protee version and at least get a minor peak at it that way

Hey boerdoc, I'm in the area and have played CDA a few times. I usually just play when I can for free as part of a tourney team. It is a beautiful and exceptionally maintained course. Its not the best track around the area but is certainly one to play if visiting. I have to agree that the ProTee version is by far a better rendition than anything I've seen on TGC.
