  • Wedge Bounce?

Out of curiosity, what wedge bounce do you guys play with?

I have been using Dave Pelz wedges for about 17 years. I bought a second set just before the groove rule changed. Pelz never provided the bounce numbers since the angle by itself does not really describe how much bounce a wedge has. The Pelz wedges have different amounts of bounce depending on the wedge but all of them have less bounce than most other wedges. The 60 and 64 degree wedges are really good from tight lies. Pelz even grinds most of the material off the heel side of the club on these so you can open them and the leading edge stays close to the ground.

These wedges work great for me for the firm conditions that I typically see on the course. However, I occasionally play on a course that has really soft sand and the only I wedge I can use in this type of sand is the SW. The LW and XW have too little bounce for soft sand.
