  • Durable Sim Balls

This has probably been covered, but a number of posts I have seen deal with how a ball impacts the durability of the screen. My question is slightly different. What is a good sim ball that will perform reasonably (i.e. accurate distance/spin) but also lasts a while? I have had a few balls split open and I normally don’t really notice until I get some screwy numbers. Looking for suggestions on durable balls, thanks!

Durability aside, to get the best representation of real life on course distances, you should probably play the ball you normally play on the course. But Snell are good balls. And bridgetsones

Thanks, I was using Srixon Q Star Tours, but then bought some Cut golf balls for the Sim, and they don’t seem to last very long in the sim at all. Play Snell MTB Black, and will use one every now and then, but want to save them for the course!

I usually use new balls on the sim, and once they get kind of beat up, will use them on the course. That way I don’t feel bad if I lose a few on the course lol

When working on my swing I use just about anything, but usually a two piece. When working on trying g different ball flight then I will use a premium ball. When checking my distances etc, then I use my gamer. Am interesting things I found doing this that was very surprising to me was the balls I used for working on my swing had a much higher launch angle than premium balls ( the difference if I recall was between three to five degrees).

Maxfli Tour or Tour X. Two dozen for $50-60 at golf galaxy, even cheaper when you build up a few coupons (most recently got 2 dozen shipped for $35 by using 2 $10 coupons). Use them in the sim until they are scuffed up then throw them in the bag. Durable, premium ball.
