The problem with the short game is the wedge passes over the ball track sensor before the ball. What if protee used the putting sensor to calculate ball speed instead of the ball tack when within a certain number of yards from the flag? The sensors seem to be identical to the ball track on the main unit. I don't have a putting sensor but I'd consider investing in one if it improved the short game experience. So far the best idea I've seen so far is to not let the unit read ball speed but instead to use 65% or 75% of your club head speed; however, this assumes a perfectly hit ball.
