  • Foot Pedal for ProTee/TGC

Anyone using foot pedal for Protee/TGC? What are the main functions needed for Protee? I read these four are most often used: Left - Right - Club Selection - ESC

I found this Gaming Footboard on Amazon, it has four buttons that can be mapped to any keyboard function. I'm thinking about placing it behind the sensor and map 1 = Right, 3 = Left, 2 = Club Selection & 4 = ESC. Let me know what you think.

Not using foot pedals, but i just downloaded this and tried it for a few minutes. I'll give it more of a go this weekend, but it looks like it will be an excellent addition.
I wanted to share the remote keyboard screen I created with anyone that wants to use it. See screen shot attached. The buttons are mapped to the keyboard to

Personally I wouldn't want to use my foot, more natural to use the club. Also four buttons means you'll still need to use the keyboard/mouse which defeats the purpose of floor buttons IMHO. I have 10 buttons plus the joystick and it isn't too much for TGC (I only used the joystick since I had it, buttons only work fine if you have enough.)

The units I linked to in the other thread can be doubled up to get as many as you need and they are easy to activate if you are using a club.

EDIT: Depending how the one you linked to works, you may be able to use a club instead of foot. And you may be able to double or triple it up. If so it should be fine if you like the resulting layout. As you've probably found there are a lot of choices. I use arcade buttons since it is easy to make a layout that I like and is much more compact than using actual foot pedals.

For reference I'll copy my post from the other thread below:

: I use "zero delay" arcade buttons. Example from Amazon is: https://www.amazon.com/Amatek-Joysti...ay+usb+encoder

Other people use triple foot switches. Example from Amazon is: https://www.amazon.com/Scythe-USB-3F...le+foot+switch

Most people put them along their hitting mat so they can reach while in the "address" position. I prefer them behind my hitting mat so I can reach while setting up my shot (just prior to moving into the address position). Press them with the club. Prior to this I used a touchscreen keyboard mapper on the tablet but being able to control TGC while out on the hitting floor and looking down the fairway is a much better experience than fiddling with a touchscreen or tablet. Once the game has started I never touch the mouse/keyboard.

Agreed, using the club seems to be easier than stomping with your foot. Are you using all 10 buttons plus the joy stick? If so, can you share what function they are mapped to?

If possible can you post pic of your setup?

If I'm planning to have a touchscreen monitor, would this be the same?

Definitely! This app is essential to the TGC experience in my mind. I cant imagine playing without it. If I had to walk over to the computer to change clubs and aim every time that would annoy the crap out of me.

What are the most used buttons. If you're going to have only 4 buttons, what would they be?

My top 4 would probably be...left, right, zoom in (not sure the actual button key for that),then maybe just the button that selects the putter (so you can go into putting mode and putt off the fringe)
