Lower than 9 ft mount for Protee VX

I have watched several interviews and demonstrations with the Protee team regarding the VX. In a few of the interviews it is mentioned that the VX is able to be mounted lower than the recommended 9 feet if you tell the Protee team your specifications at the time of purchase. I have attempted to contact Protee directly, and have asked several US suppliers and nobody can seem to confirm this statement. Does anyone have any information on how I can go about purchasing a VX launch monitor with a calibration to be mounted on a lower than 9 foot ceiling? My height from the VX unit to the floor would be between 8’6” and 8’4”.

It is possible the VX might still work as advertised with the lower than recommended mounting height. However, with their strict no return policy I do not want to take this risk if I do not have to.

Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

I got confirmation from a dealer it was ok. The only changes being a smaller hitting area and the setback distance of the install.

Thanks for the information. Ideally, I would still want it calibrated to maintain the original hitting area specs. But I’m happy to hear there is another option.

What has been your experience? I have lower ceilings that work fine with my swing and I'm looking to upgrade from a floor unit. I don't mind a smalling hitting area (I'm used to skytrak where you have a VERY small hitting are). But does it still function normally?

I have a 8' 9" ceiling (measured top of hitting mat to ceiling) I have no issues at all. My distances in general at 2-3% lower than hitting of real grass (I think the hitting mat has this effect) but consistent.
      Working...
