Any issues with mounting a Protee VX to a 12ft ceiling? Their website mentions mounting the unit between 9ft-10ft from the ground, but doesn’t indicate if mounting it higher is a problem or not. I’d like to mount it higher than 10ft to make sure it’s not in the way of the projector since I have the ceiling height to do so. Also, does anyone know if the unit comes with a mounting extender to lower the unit if I have to drop it down to 10ft? I’ve seen some pictures with some type of extending brackets on the side but don’t know if those come with the unit or not.

Hello! The cameras on the ProTee VX cameras can technically be out of focus if mounted higher than 10ft. I would recommend using a JR3 and adjustable extension pipe for both the ProTee VX and projector. This way you can mount the ProTee Vx right at 10ft and the projector just below that to prevent shadows.
Let me know if you have any questions!
I have done this quite a few times with both the VX and EYE XO/EYE XO 2.

Thanks, GunghoGolfGM - do you have any links for the JR3 and extension pipe? Want to make sure I get the exact ones.

Yes! The VX mount will need to modified slightly. You will need to just drill two pilot holes and then use a screw and a bolt to attach it to the JR3, but its pretty easy.
JR3: https://gunghogolf.com/products/crim...-ceiling-mount
Extension pipe: https://gunghogolf.com/products/crim...eiling-adapter
The JR3 will drop it down an extra 6 inches so you can use the 12-18" drop for both the VX and projector if you ceiling is exactly 12ft.

Hello Gungho,
Are we measuring to the bottom on the unit (cameras) for that 9-10 foot range or bottom of the mounting plate? Also for the 3’ 7” distance from hitting area is that to the cameras with a little wiggle room?
I have 14’ ceilings I used a peerless precision mount for my projector. It was great but with the extension pipe there was a lot of play which was disappointing. Is the JR3 pretty stable since the VX is pretty heavy?
Regards
