If I had to mount my projector directly under the VX could it cause any interference with the operation of the VX? I have a fixed lens so I can’t move it based on projected image size and it’s ending up almost directly under where the VX would need to be mounted. I can’t really move back any further from the screen either for my hitting position .

Projector Interference w/ VX

I just did a mock projector below my VX and it seemed ok. As long as the projector is not blocking the cameras it will work. I held a box the size of my projector below my VX and it still found the ball. The projector will need to be as forward to the VX as you can because it will block the cameras. My projector is about a foot behind my VX but mounted high to the ceiling so no interference.

I am very tempted by the VX but do have concerns it won’t work in my setup with my projector location. My projector sits directly above my hitting area so the VX from what I have read needs to be mounted about 3-3.5 feet in front of my projector. Would the projector pointing directly at the VX interfere ? I have mocked up a unit and put it roughly where I think I would mount the VX just to check it didn’t cast a shadow which it didn’t. Ceiling height is just over 9.5ft.
Also it says the VX is currently at an introductory price. Any indication of how long that will last? Will there be any communication before price goes up?

I have exactly the same setup, with the projector mounted directly above my hitting area (on a ceiling that is 10ft 6 in high). It's perfect, no interference and no shadow. My projector is on a 7 inch swivel mount, with the lens center about 10 inches below the ceiling. My sim is a murphygolf simulator (https://www.murphygolfsimulators.com), screen size is 10'10" wide by 8"2" tall.

So glad I found this post. Maybe someone can help me. I want to buy a vx but afraid I will have interference. My short throw projector hangs down like 12 inches and sits in front of my hitting area. The vx would mount on the ceiling just in front of projector…. I’m assuming with the cameras being on the sides that they would be able to “see” my mat if mounted directly in the center of projector….. not sure if it will work, and wondering if projector light interference will be an issue. I have photos but I can’t upload them no matter how hard I try. If someone could help look at it I can send photos is email. My email is sblaylock@sanjuan.edu
Really would appreciate any help as I want to order now but they have a zero return policy.
