  • LIE angle for Driver and VX

Can some one explain what the vx is showing with the drive lie angle? My irons appear "normal" +/_ 1 degree but the graphic for the driver seems very odd, sometimes +8 or more?

The lie angle that is measured by the Protee is a dynamic lie angle. Every club will have a fixed static lie but as you swing you introduce toe up or down creating a dynamic lie angle. Drivers tend to have more dynamic lie angles than irons. You can get fitted for static lie angles mostly with irons. Ping is big on adjusting your irons static lie. I'm usually 2-8 deg up with my driver lie angle on the Protee which makes total sense. Irons are usually 0-2 degrees toe up.

Very inconsistent for me. When using my previous GC2/HMT setup, it was very accurate and consistent. I'm always quite toe up with driver, more than average. Irons get better and more consisten readings, may be easier to determine based on club shape and color.

That's unfortunate wbond. I have had good success with the lie angle especially with irons. Some woods and drivers have been off but overall good. Anybody with a GCQuad or GC2HMT angle to test it?
