I love my ProTee, it’s helped my game so much. However, I experience one startup connection bug daily, but there is such an easy workaround that it’s not really a problem. Thought I would reach out to see if anyone experiences the same issue. ProTee said they could do a remote session to troubleshoot, but with the workaround being so easy, I just haven’t bothered yet. Because of the nature of the bug (see below), I am expecting a lengthy support session to diagnose, which I just want to avoid. ProTee have excellent support, I just feel like this issue will be challenging for them to diagnose.

[Workaround] This is what I do daily (every time I play):
This problem has existed since I bought the unit in October 2024. The workaround is a little annoying (a tiny tiny bit annoying), as it literally takes 20 to 30 seconds extra (the time it takes to reboot the PC). I’m guessing some windows process or service that ProTee needs is not running (or running in an unexpected order), and the restart of the PC corrects it. However I am not sure why a reboot would be any different to a cold start, but clearly something is different.

- Turn on PC (cold start)
- Log-in
- Start ProTee software
- Bug: ProTee software cannot connect to the device
[Workaround] This is what I do daily (every time I play):
- Turn on PC (cold start)
- Fix: At Windows log-in, restart the PC (before logging in)
- When the PC restarts, log-in
- Start ProTee software
- Connects to the device as expected, works every single time.
