Hello Protee community. I'm having a problem with setting up my putting sensor. I purchased a used Protee sim and i'm putting the final touches on the install. Everything else is up and running and working correctly. When I plug in the putting sensor to the main sensor and check it in the interface I can get the putting sensor to read a putt, but it won't reset for the next putt. Unplug the sensor and redo, I get the same thing, no reset. I used search function and found it might be the lighting. Voila, right! That's what I thought. I had the flood over the main and the spot over the putting sensor. I switched the lights and still get the same result. Does anyone have any suggestions to try next. Remote login?

Putting sensor help!

It could still be that neither lights are intense enough. The light over the putting sensor should be a flood light. What kind of wattage are the lights and how high are they mounted? Post a picture of the floor with the flash off. I need to see how the circle of lights look. Btw, who did you buy the ProTee from? Just curious.

Thanks for the help. I believe both lights are Phillips halogen 75w, 1spot over main and 1 flood over the putt. I don't know the exact height of the lighting but should be between 9' or 10'. No more than 10". I'll double check when I get home tonight, also take the pic then. I read all your info on install so that's what got me this far. I was hoping to get it right by now.
I bought the Protee system about 10 months back from a business owner that was selling on ebay. I believe that you were the one to provide a link to the listing. Thank you again. What's taking so long, you ask? I was originally going to put it in the basement, but realized I just didn't have the height. The only other place was the garage. I had a car in there that needed so engine work done that I finally finished this summer. Now I can move the cars out when I want to play. So far, it has taken me a little over a month to get the sim to this point. If I can get this putting thing figured out, get some practice, then start some online play.

There are two other things that might be a factor. The first is that I had to replace the connector on one end of the putting sensor. I was having trouble with it not reading or inconsistant reads, but I redid the connector at can get the sensors to turn off 1 by 1 on the putting sensor, so I figured the connection is ok now. Just no reset, like I said earlier.
The second factor might be the distance between the end of the main sensor and the putting sensor. I can remeasure when I get home but I believe it is 3'.

The distance is not a problem. It's either insufficient light, incorrect settings, or the cable is still defective. I had to change out the connector on my putting sensor when I first got it.
We'll get you up and running. You will love online play.

Ok, did the update to 3.01d and made the recommended interface changes, but still getting the same result with putting sensor. Unplug putt sensor and plug it back it will read correctly in the interface. It just won't reset for the next putt. I'll probably check the cabling again to see if I can see anything obviously wrong.

Noticed that occasionally I'll get a putt that shanks way right off the green with a path that reads in to out over 25 to 30 degrees (real putt is straight). If I take a mulligan the same things happens again for each mulligan, I then have to relaunch the game. Is this a bug with the code or some sort of intermittent issue with my sensor?Central Time
