New PROTEE Setup with putting sensor. Putting shows inconsistent putting range and VERY short putts.
Current settings on Factory Defaults.
Light directly over putting sensor.

Check to make sure light is not obstructed by the carpet or debris. Make sure the shadow of your head is not activating the sensors.

TO increase putting distance, increase putting factor in the interface. See picture above.

Also, make sure green friction in the game(options/game) is set to 1.00

With the putting sensor, you can putt from anywhere behind the putting sensor, so no need to stand so close to it.

Also, make sure the putting sensor is covered with putting carpet or turf. Don't leave the plastic casing exposed.

I apologize in advance if this has already been answered elsewhere. With regards to the putting speed using the putting sensor, I'd like to make the putting speed on shorter puts faster, but on longer puts slower. As it stands right now if I hit about an 8' putt in reality it will only go about 6' on the simulator, of course I'd like to match these up, so I realize that I have to increase the putting speed. The problem I have with this is that currently long putts go much too far on the simulator vs how hard I hit them. So the dilemma is that I need to speed the short putts up, but slow the long ones down. Any suggestions as to how I go about doing this?

Not sure this is possible. First of all, make sure course friction is set to 1.65 and green friction is 1.00. You can try leaving the putting factor at 1.00 and try increasing putter ball speed.

In all my messing around to get the actual putting ball distance to match the actual ball distance, I seem to have somehow, turned the putting sensor off in play mode. I know that it works, because ran the Debug test, and the putts were ready... So I'm wondering if there might be something obvious I'm missing.

Not really sure what the problems was, but ended up being corrected via a remote session.

I'm on the final stages of getting set up. Putts were either not reading at all or were only traveling 6 inches. I ran the debug tool in the Protee interface and noticed that every other putting sensor was checked and red. Then if the main mat sensors were hit, the putting sensors would go off and on rapidly until I stomped on the stance platform, and then the putting sensors would stop going on and off. They would return to the starting position of every other sensor being checked and red.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like light over putting sensor is not intense enough.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using the Protee lights which are 50watts at 8' high. Attached are some pictures of my setup.

Anyone know of somewhere local I could get the same bulbs but in a higher wattage?

I read through the diy lights thread. Maybe I should just replace the putting light with something from Home Depot?

I received and installed a 75 watt bulb for the putting sensor, but still no luck. I have attached a picture of the sensors in the interface screen. They just keep rotating on and off. I have a request out to Protee Support since Friday, but haven't heard from them. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like your lights are not centered over either sensor. Also looks like sawdust everywhere, you need to keep your sensors clean from debris. I use these lamps for both of my sensors.

Thanks for your response. I have since tidied up. Protee got back to me and said that my symptoms indicate a hardware issue, probably the connectors. I'll work with them and report back for anyone who might have this issue in the future.

If anyone is in the Long Island, NY area and would be willing to let me try my putting sensor on your set up, please PM me. I replaced the cables to no avail and am still trying to figure it out. Thanks!
