Finally my mate is going America so I will be ordering a launch monitor this week. However I have a problem, I'm still not decided between flightscope xi (with goats improvements) and a skytrak. Primary use will be inside however I do plan on using on the range as well. Any opinions especially from people who have use both

Hello, I have used Flightscope and just purchased the Skytrak. One of the biggest factors for me in that decision was the room required for the Flightscope versus the ST. Flightscope will tell you that you need a minimum of 22 feet front to back in your room inside. I have a decent sized indoor set up but it is only 19 feet front to back and FS told me that would not work well for their launch monitor. I have had the ST for a week or so and absolutely love it.

I'm at slightly under 22' and no issues at all with an X2.
Had previously owned and returned the ST. Liked a lot about it and liked their long term story and intended (as discussed here thoroughly) strategies of integrations. Is it buggy? Sure. But I do think they'll work that out.
As for the FS, I'm glad I went in that direction, no second thoughts at all. It is near 100% reliable in picking up every shot (once in a while I think it might get confused on partial wedge shots by under reading spin). But the FS Combine is outstanding and completely changed the way I practice and learn. It also has really helped on tuning club path and face to path issues for me....causing some subtle tweaks in my driver setup and wedge game.
With what you are thinking about, I would think it will be an easy choice....I'd go FS, unless you had to have multiple simulator integrations...then it breaks (sorry) toward ST....
