I tried using keyton cameras but the camera just isn’t clear enough. Does anyone have any suggestions for higher frames on impact?

Hello
machine visions are the only high def camera allowing no blur (global shutter).
The best value for money available in Europe is daheng (260€ for 1440x1080 @249fps).
MER2-160-249U3M-HS
I went for a monochrome version (need less light than a colour version) and developed my own sdk, using ChatGPT and Claude, to make it compatible with my TM4.
4 times cheaper than an ids camera and slightly cheaper than blackfly (not easy to find in Europe).
ecam could make the job with protee (global shutter) but is limited to 120fps. Same price than daheng but not as good !

Hey Patator100 I'm interested in learning more about developing your own sdk. Do you have any examples of the video quality you built? At what FPS were you able to capture the video?

The full capacity of the camera - no limitation.
I used the pdf instruction of the sdk of daheng and probably 150 hours of development with Claude.
i m not a professional programmer but quite advanced. It was not easy but it works with my Trackman…
as for the quality, it s the same that what you can get o the galaxy viewer of daheng

No isssue, I will when it will get warmer in my sim room…
daheng has a sony IMX273 CMOS sensor (1440x1080, 1/2.9inch)
yours is Sony imx174 (1936x1216, 1/1.2), around 160fps at full resolution
your camera will require less light…
I ve not gone for it as it was not worth for my usage spending 900€+ vs my daheng camera that I paid all together importer into France around 280€
