Impact screen TOP FLIGHT

I'm looking at making a golf Impact screen, I have been recommended a material called topflight by a fabric specialist, apparently it has a vinyl type look, hardly any visible weave and is very very strong. Any experience with this product?

What is the weight per sq ft. I have tried a lot of different materials and the strongest one that was pretty much indestructible was 700gr/m2.
Even if you let it hang loose with no tension it is to heavy. It will stop the ball but in such a brutal way that the ball top coat gets deposited on to the screen and eventually it gets stained and can't be cleaned with any solvent I have tried. Very loud and nasty bounce backs.

The best materials are those that are soft, strong and have a weight of some 250gr/m2. If you then add a back stop material behind that is much heavier, you will have a great screen for a long time. I have the 700gr/m2 material as back stop 4" behind. After a few weeks of testing I think it's to close or its to heavy. Will be moving it back at least 2" to start with. Problem is bounce backs. Not strong enough to hit you but it's annoying to have some of the balls bounce and role out of the enclosure or role and hit the LM so it moves and needs to be realigned.
Vinyl finish sounds a bit to firm and can produce a very loud impact sound.

It's 311 grams per meter. It's a acrylic impregnated, 100% polyester high count woven fabric. It's used to make boat covers I think, will see how I get on with it.

The spec looks amazing, but 1.6m wide is a challenge. Means you need to join 2 pieces together. I definitely could not with the skills and tools I have. If you manage to do it please let us know how.

That sounds great. I use a similar material that is for a similar original purpose. I would not try to stretch it so it becomes flat and shoot a 150MPH golf ball at it without some supporting structure behind. It will leave a dent. What width does it come in?
I had problems finding fabrics that are wider than 1,5m. The raw material I use was 3,2m wide and 720gr/m.
