For the longest time, I thought that I was simply hitting down on the ball as my LA was lower than normal. My vcam is level and pointed as GSA has instructed. Now I do have a lower than normal LA with my driver but my irons IRL seem normal other than a little more distance. I found this right angle triangle calculator. All you need to do is enter the distance from impact to the screen and how high up the screen the ball hits. With these two numbers it will give you the exact LA. So I verified that my LA was indeed a few degrees low. At first I tried tilting the camera..... that worked but it messed up putting. At times I would have to rewind because my driver LA was 0.5 degrees and the system would switch to putting mode. Yet the ball would hit the screen 10-12 inches up the screen. The calculator says that this drive is about 5 degrees LA. With GSA, you can pinpoint your launch position. So I moved the LP forward in GSA's control panel until the LA was matching what the calculator displayed. My driver now averages 7-10 degrees and my 7 iron went from 12 degree average to 16.8. With this change, the ball flight is looking more like what I see IRL. My mid irons are a few yards shorter as a result..... maybe 10 yards off the 7 iron. I will play a complete round on the weekend and see if I have to adjust for that.
With the GSA CX2 system ball speed, ball path, Launch angle are measured. Ball spin is calculated. There are numerous adjustments to help with ball spin calculations. You can play with these adjustments until your screen game replicates your real life game. This will help GSA users.... not too sure about Protee or Skytrack users. But at least with the calculator you can verify that your LA is accurate.
