Sensor Mat Issues

Just got my simulator set up but I am having sensor mat problems. In ProTee Interface, my swings aren't registering so I open the sensors and see that the sensors are properly resetting and then picking up the swing. Why are the sensors picking up my swing but it doesn't translate to an actual swing? I've tried with the audio detection on and off to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The quickest way to figure this out is to setup a remote support session.

It could be a stuck sensor, debris, or insufficient light on the putting.

I will do that, thanks. Interesting development this evening though, the driver is registering but the irons aren't. The anticipation of getting this thing working is killing me haha.

No problem. Insufficient lighting will cause intermittent shot detection. Multiple shadows of the club will do the same. You want one well defined shadow over the main sensor and the putting sensor. Is this a dedicated room? No sunlight from windows.

Also, will you be joining us online this season?

I got the exact same lighting setup that I saw the guy put together in the DIY lighting thread. I have turned off the light over the putting sensor to make sure it wasn't a second shadow and no change. Lights are just under 9 feet directly above the mat. Dedicated room, evening right now so even if the windows weren't covered there shouldn't be any light leaking in.

And I will be online and probably have others as well since I am opening a bar and "Country Club" in a small town that is centered on the simulator.

But like I said, I'll email customer support and hopefully we can get it all fixed up. Not looking forward to attempting to setup the cameras...

They will remote in and get it working for you. Watch them as they setup the cameras. Golfing online against real people is pretty cool.

I guess it was the lighting. I used the exact setup another user had posted in the DIY Lights thread but I guess it just wasn't cutting it. Just ordered a transformer so I will setup the lights that came with the simulator in the first place. I was being too lazy to mess with the wiring so that's why I went with the easy track lighting but you know what they say about hindsight...

But if the problem comes up again, now we know for sure. Picks up the bigger clubs like the driver, but won't pick up the small (iron) clubs because the shadow moves too quick. So you need the right lights to allow the sensors to catch the quick irons. Wish I could remember what exactly was said but that is the non-technical jist of it.

Glad to hear they found the problem. Eveybody's setup is different. Lights that work for some might not work for others.

Are there any known issues with the horizontal launch angle of the sensor mat? I seem to get 90% or more of my shots going left. According to the swing patch analysis the swing patch is straight and the club face is closed a degree or 2. On the course this usually will go up the left slightly. I have to aim almost 45 degree right to get a shot to launch right of the center line on the driving range. This is with all clubs. Is there anything that can be adjusted or tweaked? Could this be caused by lighting angles? I have my system mocked up in a room I'm going to be finishing so I have the ability to make any tweaks needed in the setup.

Post a screenshot of the analysis screen and try how it performs with the horizontal camera switched off. It will then read the ball path from the sensor mat.

I'm only using the V cam, no H cam.

Maybe I'll get better results using the H Cam? I hit a slight fade and to me its the sensor mat thinking its more of a pull.

Yes, H-cam will improve accuracy. Post some pictures of your setup.

Do I need to order a camera housing for the H-cam? My sensor mat is on the right side of the stance mat.
