  • Ball Placement

    Guys,

I mentioned in an earlier post that I just ordered Skytrak and expect delivery on tuesday so I am looking forward to that. My question is on ball placement, will I have to move the unit when I hit from a tee on as opposed form an iron shot from the mat?

    THanks

Hi, no you don't have to move the unit in height. Put the bottom of the unit same Level then what your hitting of (hitting mat) Don't put it on the same mat if possible because it might move when you hit and give you more no reads. With the Driver put the ball just behind the laser dot (away from net) an Inch or so and for high loft shots just a Little in front (towards the net) . That's what most of us figured works the best. To be hornest, I place it right at the dot and it works fine. For Driver Laser at the bottom of the tee. I only move the ball away from the laser like mentioned before if I had a no read and have to rehit

Do yourself a favor and order some tomahawk tees and tee claws now before the unit arrives. That's what alot of guys are using and it works awesome.

So I was trying the tomahawk tees, but I wasn't getting the distance I was expecting. I slapped on some impact tape and noticed my contact was a bit low. I just couldn't seem to get contact on the upper portion of my clubface while maintaining an upward angle of attack. After switching back to normal tees my driving distance increased by 15 yards. Not bad!

I wish they made a taller tomahawk tee. I've tried stacking two but it's a bit of a pain.

Super gluing 2 together and tethered them to the tee claw might work.

        There is a taller tee that's 60mm = 2.36in

I use a tee holder (rubber in a hole in the mat) and just normal tees .

I put a tomahawk on a black rubber tee. Perfect height (for me)
