A question here from a relative newbie... I have the Net Return Pro and their 6' x 10' hitting turf, which I like a lot! However, I can't use a real tee with it, and the driver readings I'm getting with my SkyTrak I feel are getting corrupted by the rubber tee that's flying through the air with the ball as it launches. The clubs I don't tee up seem to be very accurately read by the SkyTrak. I've searched the forums here and can't find much help in terms of what the best tee for SkyTrak is in cases where real tees aren't an option. Thanks in advance, and to everyone here for all your posts - this has been an incredibly helpful place to research and plan my simulator room. Thank you!

Best Tee to Use With SkyTrak and NetReturn Golf Mat

Most use the Tee Claw (https://www.amazon.com/Tee-Claw-Arti.../dp/B016AKN71W) and real tees. I use them to tether the BirTee (https://www.amazon.com/BirTee-Pro-8-.../dp/B00T6OCSBA), I bought mine at the local golf show, in blue and in red so I don't know if that white one from Amazon will be an issue.
Others use the Tee Claws with Tomahawk tees (https://www.amazon.com/Tomahawk-Chan.../dp/B01DS3K5Z0).

I just got a pack of tomahawk and really like them. Wish they were a quarter inch taller, but I can stack them so not too big of deal. I'd been using real tees but they'd leave a small divot in my mat and eventually the ball would roll into it and be sitting down, so I'd have to move the skytrak to a spot with no little divot. Tomahawk tees solved that problem, highly recommended.

Tee claw + tomahawk for me as well... Do be careful, I've been using the net return mat for 6 months now and I'm starting to have wrist problems. Just ordered a cce mat because I can't take it anymore.

Hey rmyoung, would you mind comparing the cce to the net return mat when you get up to speed with it? I have the net return mat and I have no other experience with mats and am looking to upgrade soon.

Hey Gary - sure, I just got my mat. It is 100% better than the net return mat. Way softer, way more forgiving on your wrists. ALSO, big win, spin rates are WAY more accurate.
My 8 iron with my net return mat, I'd be getting 3-4k RPM if I was lucky. With the net return mat, my spin numbers have come up to 5-6k over night. Distances are down obviously, but i think its much more accurate compared to the net return mat.
CCE feels like walking and hitting on a pillow in comparison.

Hi,
after I got problems with my wrists with my simple mat, I've changed to that one which is perfect. After 1700 shots absolutley nothing happened to it:

and from there I use those Teeholders:

Thank you all for the very helpful responses! About how long will a Tee Claw last? Just curious. I think I'll start with that.
Dan Frost, when you said you would use a real tee, did you mean with the tee claw, or did you mean with a mat you can stick a real tee into? I'm hoping if I go the Tee Claw with real tee route that I won't have the same divot issue.
Thanks again for your help, guys. Have a great day, and happy golfing!

It was a mat that I could stick a tee into. On top of the divot in the mat, I had broken tees everywhere in the garage. If I knew then what I know now I would have started with the tomahawk. I would buy a pack if I were you just to test them. Get them from Amazon, if you don't like them send them back!

Thanks, Dan! I may have to pick up a pack of Tomahawk tees. I just ordered a set of Tee Claws. Should be interesting to see how different my results are versus the rubber tee. Can't wait! Thanks again, Dan, and to everyone for your feedback!

Try these tee's if you don't want to stack the tomahawk tee. They are pretty tall and you can just cut them down to whatever height you want.Originally posted by Dan Frost View PostI just got a pack of tomahawk and really like them. I have CCE and have tendinitis golfers elbow. I haven't hit balls in 4 months. When I start up again I'll need to renew and now see that renewal has changed. That isn't likeable for sure.Originally posted by rmyoung88Tee claw + tomahawk for me as well... CCE or just hitting too many balls??
