  • SkyTrak, do you want more of my money? Then do this---

I've had my Skytrak since Spring of last year. I purchase the PIP so I could have a sim of some sort to try out before diving in to get TGC. My plan was to get TGC this Spring, I've already begun building the new PC to support it. This was going to cost me $99/year for the GIP + $1k up front for TGC. A big chunk for sure, but I figured it would be worth it. It seems like Skytrak simply wants to increase their subscription base and get more cashflow... so here's my proposal.

Give me a $49/month subscription that provides PIP + TGC and I'm in. Even lock me in for 6 months at a time.

This comes out to nearly $600/year. Instantly more cashflow for them (on a monthly renewal basis instead of annual which is easier to budget for) and way more people will dive in for the simulation because let's be honest, $1k up front + PC Cost + PIP annual is a big investment... but most guys spend $50 on a single round of golf so they would probably be up for a monthly deal like this.

Come on Skytrak, be smart and be good to your customers. Even though I enjoy practicing on my Skytrak every single day I'm contemplating switching platforms simply because I'm disappointed in your business practices (can't transfer TGC licenses between skytrak users, doubling cost of sim software use, what's next?).

This would be a cool option for those who suffer thru 4-6 months of winter weather.

Honestly, I'm not sure I would have even bought TGC if I didn't live in the North East where I obviously have to go months without playing IRL but I can say with certainty that my $899 was money well spent on the lifetime subscription. I've played 44 rounds I think so far and all the tournaments that have been available since I've purchased. It's just pretty much an amazing tool to help your game and with so many courses available it will never leave you bored..
