    Skytrak iOS App Bug Log

SkyTrak_Seth SkyTrak-SkyGolf due to the reason I dont lnow where we can post found bugs i do that here.

    Version 2.5.4
    IPad Air 2

    Topic 1:
metric and yardage settings are still mixed up when switching to metric system

    Description:
Go to Session settings and switch to metric system

    - Play any game improvement/ Skill
    - Set your distance (there is written yardage over the column)
    - Look at the result tables. There are feet to the pin, meters in total and so on
    - Set humidity or height is still not in metric

All over the app it is mixed up. In all result and setting tables. On that way I am never sure if it is now showing feet, yards or meters.

    Topic 2:
Chips/flops shorter than 6 meters are still nearly impossible

    Description:
take an 60' Wedge and try by yourself. With a lot of luck you will make it to 5 or 6meters. You can try that as well with other clubs

    Topic 3:
WGT displays still other results than the skytrak app

    Description:
The WGT app gets the numbers but the results arent the same.

If you try to chip/ flop from outside it is nearly impossible to let it carry less then 10-11 yards

    Topic 4:
    Backspin is not measured well

    Description:
Set the settings normal range conditions. Hit some higher lofted clubs. A 8 iron should be at 5-6k backspin for the average player. It doesnt measure that correct. mostly 2k or max 4k and sometimes extreme 10k backspin. The rollout with 4k backspin ist at 130m carry still 20meters which is as well not possible

Thanks for the post! We did some cleanup on the units of measurement in v2.5.4, but I will take a look at what you specifically mentioned there. It's just a conversion, so if we need to fix something, the data will be updated with the correct number in the next release.

Regarding chips, we have in place now a "smart putting mode" that will allow for better chip capture. After this upcoming release, I have an idea how to actually get that into our app with a feature that will require its use. TGC and JNPG have this already in place, however WGT does not - which is why chipping is still difficult there. Just got back from meeting with them last week and we will be implementing this shortly.

WGT uses their own flight model. So they take our raw data and fly the ball how they see fit, just all of our other simulation partners. You will see slight differences across the board.

Finally, if you are having issues reading spin, try using a black mark/line on the ball facing toward the unit while hitting. It probably isn't the case, but the mat surface you are hitting off "can" severely affect the spin as well. Ball type matters a ton as well.

SkyTrak_Seth/Seth, welcome back! Also v2.5.4 no longer syncs properly (I should say no longer syncs at all) to SkyGolf 360 cloud again anymore. Please see details in 2.5.4 released thread (http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...released/page2). Thanks.

      Topic 5:
Graphical shot history too tiny for shorter shots

      Description:
Hit short irons and then have a look at the shot history graphical overview

When you hit short clubs, lets say 30-50 meters the shot overview shows the complete distance up to 340 meters or so and so you have only a little tiny view on the shot trajectory.

      Solution:
      - Please consider to take the selected shots:
++ longest shot + 10% as longest overview distance and
++ the highest peak + 10% as the highest view, to get a better representation in the graphical overview

      - Please add the data of the shot you highlight to the screen (launch angle/height/ distance)

Will look at that. I do worry about shot height with that method.

I guess, your developers are able to find a solution to make a better graphical mapping to the shot data :-)
