  • Club distance????

Set up my skytrak but my clubs are so short??

I hit my 7i on the course 170 pretty consistent but on sim it's not even going 130.
Driver is 100 yards short also.

could it be my mat? It's a old cce type mat you can put tees in

I know all the above, I'm a very seasoned launch monitor user and know my numbers like the back of my hand. The demonstration of what I typed was inside vs outside testing. They SkyTrak testing was in 40* garage too. The point of the post was that many people, even though they are seasoned, still don't swing as hard inside a confined garage (especially when you're 6'5" like me even thought you have 15 ft ceilings) due to the subconscious effect of being inside. Driver is the only club I have about a 5% offset "inside effect" issue with. The #1 goal of the post was that is was NOT the Skytrak issue - subconscious not swinging as hard = less ball speed.

You shouldn't use impact tape couple with any launch monitor - it's cuts the backspin off by about 50%. Use Athletes Foot spray.

If hitting against a screen, would the athletes foot spray not leave residue on the screen? I have often worried about this and this avoided even trying.

I use foot powder spray and I haven't noticed anything on my screen beyond what I think is normal marks. I think unless you are hitting in a sterile environment you are not going to be able to avoid your screen getting something on it over time.

Mat Definitely he may has a huge variance on yardages. Any steep shots in a CCE style mat and the club dies. I had to really shallow out all my clubs. I then saw closer to expected yardages.
