I don't have much time because I need to get to a family function. I will post more later.
Chris Skinkle and I got together this morning and ran his Skytrak and my PX 5 side by side. One thing I can tell you about Skytrak..... is that alignment is key... When aligned equal to my PX5 shots were bang on..... within yards. There were slight variances in spin at times. We couldn't get side by side video to work because of the lack of capture capability with the laptop. LA was very consistently 2 degrees out on every shot. Ball path was very similar if not bang on. Ball speed was super close.... usually within a few mph. When the Skytrak got bumped out of alignment, shot shape was different but distance pretty accurate. I have two screen shots from both systems after a shot. In the two screenshots, ball flight looks extremely similar. I believe that my ball was a few feet left of Chris. We are planning to do this again when we have more time......
I can tell you that alignment is key for the Skytrak, but once aligned properly, the system is bang on compared to the GC2 that I sometimes hit on. I could draw and fade the ball easily with the Skytrak. I wish that we had more time. We spent much of our time trying to match alignment. We ended up playing a few holes using my PX5 system. Next time we will play a few holes using Chris's Skytrak. Chris can give you his thoughts on my GSA PX5 system.
My thoughts on Skytrak..... is that it works pretty damn good. We may be asking for some alignment tips prior to our next session.
