Skytrak/iPad question

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm looking at the skytrak system with TGC or WGT. My question is, can I buy the skytrak unit with a new iPad and use AirPlay to stream to Apple TV that is connected to my projector?

Or am I looking at the expense of a new laptop with beefed up graphics cards.

TGC only runs well on a PC. You can use a new IPad with an HDMI adaptor to project for certain. I have personally done this with my IPad Pro but WGT may leave you wanting a more realistic simulation.

yes. save the 100 bucks and put it towards another sim. The WGT sucks.

I agree the WGT is not the best solution as far as simulation goes. Its hard to really call it simulation as its more of an iphone game ported to work with the skytrak as a controler. But you can run both the Skytrak software and WGT from and iPad and airplay to your projector. Much more convenient than using an HDMI adaptor since its wireless. I would keep in mind however that the aspect ratio of the iPad screen is more square than most modern projectors. I ended up using my iPhone 6s to airplay to my projector as the app uses the entire screen. In the end I bought a gaming PC so I could get a real simulator for my projector set up.

My iPad2 is connected directly to the projector with cable. You need an HDMI MHL input to connect directly.

I get 2-3 second lag when I use my iPad. Just as good as my higher end gaming laptop.

same here. The lag is ok. It depends on the cpu in the iPad I guess
