  • Net repair

Not Skytrak related, but asking here because I know you guys will have good advice... So I put a hole in my net the other night (I play in my garage with a TV). Scared the S out of me. The net has been great, but a lot of shots this winter has taken it's toll.

Any great ideas for a patch that's both light weight and super-strong?

I am thinking of something like a 3'x3' patch rather than just putting a little patch that just covers the hole.

    FYI, here's the net https://www.amazon.com/PowerNet-Golf...lf+hitting+net

I'd zip tie it closed and add an impact panel. Then in the future just replace the impact panel, or add a new one on top of old.

      Did you try this?
LIFETIME WARRANTY - LIFETIME PARTS REPLACEMENT

I would try to see about putting one net in front of the other if they are willing to live up to their warranty?

Doh... that's embarrassing. Will give Amazon a shout and see if they'll honor it. Thanks wbond.

Haha, no problem. If they do, I would setup the new one correctly, then i would cut off the section in the middle that the pole goes through on the old one and just connect it at the top and bottom.

I plan on calling them when mine wears out. I have a powernet that I use for my travel softball and baseball teams. It's not as good as the bownet I havel, but was quite a bit cheaper.

Can you let us know how you make out with the warranty? I've got the same net and am hoping you have no problems!

That's great! I bought mine from Costco so I assume when (if) the time comes it will be fairly simple as well.

I have a high impact net that I thought was great and hit alot of shots into it with no issue....until eventually a ball went flying through. It was in my garage and scared the crap out of me. I don't care if a net has a lifetime warranty. Every nylon impact net will eventually wear..especially if you're hitting the same spot over and over. I now hang an impact panel in front of the net....and can change that if I ever needed to. Wouldn't use anything other than impact panel and impact net combo.
