  • Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (r7000) wifi router

Is anyone using this router with their SkyTrak? How's the range and speed?

    Thanks.

I went ahead and picked one up yesterday afternoon to replace the POS router that I bought on boxing day. FYI, do not buy a Linksys WRT3200acm. Terrible, really terrible. Thing was unstable, constantly dropping wifi then often wouldn't reconnect clients. Sometimes I would try to connect my Skytrak for 10 or 15 minutes and finally reboot the linksys to get it to connect...a dropped connection during a TGC round might reconnect after a couple of tries or it might mean close it down and come back later.

A day & a half in with the Nighthawk, all's good. The speed and range is excellent and it's been stable . Yesterday, I played 36 holes with the Skytrak. It connected first click of the interface and no dropped wifi. Fired up the computer and Skytrak today and the same thing, connected first click of the interface and never dropped wifi once. I hope I finally got my connection issues solved.

Good to hear. I am having some serious home wifi issues this past week and have thought about the nighthawk. Waiting to hear back from my AV guy (hopefully) later today with a plan to fix.
