I thought I would start this thread as for me, I discovered two amazing tips that have really helped my enjoyment level when using my SkyTrak with TGC and was wondering if any other players had tips they would like to share.
Tip #1 - A Laser Level. I found this to be an amazing tip on ensuring you are "hitting down the line". I angle my SkyTrak so I am hitting into the center of my net, since my ball is on the right side of my mat. I read a tip about using the alignment feature in the SkyTrak with a laser level. I turn on my alignment feature, and then I set my laser level on a paint can behind me, and adjust it so the laser line goes across both of the dots. I then place alignment rods on either side of the laser's line, parallel to the laser line. This has really improved how much I start my ball out on it's intended line!
Tip #2 - I don't remember where I read this, (it was on this forum though), but I have trouble with the SkyTrak reading short chips when I am just off of the green. Sometimes I hit 5 or 6 balls before it finally picks up the chip, and then it's normally because I hit it too hard. Somewhere, I read about putting the SkyTrak into "putting mode". (The "P" key when playing TGC) I rarely have a misread on short chips now.
