In the actual feature (when clicking on the bag mapping or skill assessment icon) they are fine, but just going into shot history, for that session and selecting shots, all tracers are green regardless of the coloured square on the previous screen.Originally posted by SkyTrak_Seth View Post
Good to hear on the plotting. On the Game Improvement tracers...can you explain just a little more? Skills Assessment should be all white. Bag Mapping should cycle through all the colors with each club change just as it does in Practice. Or are you talking about shot plotting in there? I'll take a look at that.
It may have always been this way but I hadn't noticed. It's not a huge deal as the feature itself (Bag Mapping and Skill Assessment) gives great information but it's just something I picked up on when looking at some shots in the shot history of these features.
Be nice to have it the same as practice mode, so that when using Skill Assement it's easier to see different flight shapes when using different clubs at the same target distance. If that makes sense.
*edit* Uploaded a picture of some random shots taken using the feature and their tracers in the shot history plotting section.1 PhotoLast edited by KerrHughes; 05-22-2017, 10:26 PM.

I had the PC version of 2.6.1 installed on three different machines, all three worked fine with the Skytrak using Network Mode. Today I upgraded a desktop to 2.6.2, logged in, and got the connection status in the attached picture. I have seen the gray 'Not Connected before, but not the red 'Not Connected' message.
I tried to connect in Network Mode (which was the current setting of the Skytrak unit, and worked with all three machines under 2.6.1) but could not get a connection. I reset the Skytrak and tried to do a direct connection. My desktop connected to the Skytrak via Wifi, but the app never recognized a connection (still had the status shown in the image). I waited for a connection until the Skytrak turned itself off.
I used my laptop to re-establish the Network Mode on the Skytrak and was able to connect fine again using 2.6.1. I then uninstalled and re-installed 2.6.2 on the desktop and tried network and direct modes again, but still got the same (image) result.
I'm out of ideas, and afraid to try 2.6.2 on any of the machines I regularly use for Skytrak. Any ideas what might be wrong?

And are you downloading v2.6.2 directly from the SkyGolf site today? (like not installing a build you downloaded awhile ago?)

I did read post #4, but do not have a 'CurrentUser' folder under 'Users'. Plus, based on Seth's reply to DougieMN's post of 5/21 I thought that particular problem didn't affect the PC version. I am using a download taken off the skytrak site today.
Anyway I called Skytrak support and after a couple failed attempts to get me connected, they told me that the new version of the software needs to be run as an administrator (???). I was running it under a user account (which worked fine on three machines with 2.6.1). I asked if that was new in the new version and she told me "I think so , yes"

I see where you might be confused. I think his reply to dougieMN was in reference to whether the old app needed to be deleted and then new version downloaded and reinstalled. The PC issue doesn't require that. As for why your current user folder is missing...can't help you there. I haven't had a PC in well over 10 yrs.Originally posted by jaus View PostI did read post #4, but do not have a 'CurrentUser' folder under 'Users'. Anyone else having problems with the scroll bars when you look at the shot history from inside the practice range or anywhere else?
Have to continually click on the up/down arrows on the scroll bar now. Painful.
Used to be able to just drag the slider up and down to quickly find what you want. or just click in the scroll bar to make the slider go to where you want.
Can this be fixed please?

I've got 2.6.2 (PC) running right now and I've noticed a few things.
1) Even though I set it to LH every time I log in if I go to something like Skills Assessment I manually have to set LH again. If I don't it reverts to RH and I have to set all distances and clubs all over again. A great fix would be to either a) let it see what you set at login or b) allow you to change dexterity while the skills assessment is running.
2) When I go to shot history and change pages the text from the previous page hangs around and lays over the new pages text, resulting in an indecipherable mess.
I can post screen grabs of these later if you want. Right now I'm not home, though.

Anyone know if there are any issues with deleting 2.6.2a of Skytrak and re-installing the previous version?
Having to constantly click on the up or down arrows in the shot history to look at different data is seriously annoying.
Also ..
Next time for PC upgrades. can it be changed so that the update does not delete the folders that contain all the saved shot data PDF data files. Not really happy that I just lost several months of shot data with all the club and ball testing data I had there.Last edited by YonexMan; 05-30-2017, 11:52 AM.

It is not an issue of installing, it is an issue of running. I was able to install 2.6.2 just as I always have. What has changed is the fact the I now have to be logged in as an admin in order to get rid of the red 'Not Connected" message you see in my image above. I never saw that with previous versions despite being logged in on a user account in Windows. Nothing has changed in my configuration (this has occurred on two different machines. Am I the only one seeing this?Originally posted by SkyTrak_Seth View PostSorry for the confusion..."current user" is just whoever the user is who is currently using the computer
Whether or not you need to be an admin to install the SkyTrak application is up to your administrative/user settings. We haven't changed anything in the app.

What if you right-click on the icon and choose 'run as administrator? Does that work for you? Also, it would be very helpful if you can try to open as a user and let the app sit there saying 'not connected'. After a minute or so, you can go to Profile > ABOUT and send the log. That will help a lot.

Yes, I have set up the shortcut to run as administrator and that allows me to connect. I reset to a user account, waited for several minutes and then found the 'send log' link, and clicked it. It takes me to a disk location and highlights a 'package' . Is that the file I need to send? Who do I send it to?Last edited by jaus; 06-07-2017, 04:04 PM.

Yesterday during a practice session (latest version of skytrak) The skytrak missed 3 shots in a row - no reads. Then suddenly Windows comes up with a message that Skytrak has stopped working and Windows will shut down the program. So after Skytrak software shutdown. I turned the Skytrak off and back on again - restarted Skytrak - but got the red "not Connected" message and also wrong userid and password - which I knew it was correct and Yes, I did have network/internet connection.
Had to shutdown Skytrak, shutdown the laptop completely and turn it all back on again from scratch to get it all working again.
I'm thinking I'll go back to using the previous version. My son still has it loaded on his laptop and I like it better.

SkyTrak_Seth , since the latest Skytrak PC update, I've encountered at least one app crash per session on the range as well as increased no-reads. The crashes appear to happen when the no-read occurrence increases; sometimes I'll get 3-5 consecutive no-reads, then it'll get one or two reads, and on the next swing the application crash.

pretty much sums up my experience.
1. Application crashes after 30 mins or more of use. Keeps crashing until I uninstall and reinstall the app.
2. After running great for up to 30 mins I start getting abut 75% no reads with some complete misreads.
3. Loss of connection so I lose the three greens and the laser spot disappears
Up until this release I had no issues after finding a Router that was stable
