  • skytrak positioning - changing from driver to iron

Finishing up the home build and had the first chance to use the system today. I am still up in the air on a mat, so I ended up grabbing a cheap mat locally. Is everyone physically moving the skytrak when changing from driver to iron? I would like to have a static placement and I suspect this has to do with purchasing a mat that would allow for a T to be place and removed when switching to an iron. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Try Tomahawk Tees or a Tee Claw for using driver without moving your SkyTrak.

+1 on the tomahawk style tees. They're great and don't fly all over. I used real plastic tees for a bit and it's crazy the places that they end up. I also had one fly up and hit me in the eye once. No damage but unnecessary.

I use these tomahawks. They work well for me.

Yep, those are way better than moving the unit every time!

How are you guys using these tees? I use these tees but still have to move the unit up on a block off wood that is as tall as the tee in order for it to work. Do you put the tee on the red dot....or move it in to where the laser is hitting the top of the tee?

Laser dot should typically be at the base of the tee; some folks relocate the tee (forward or backward an inch or so) depending on the read of the Skytrak. I don't have any issues using the BirTees with the laser dot at the base, center of the tee.

My experience closely resembles frackh above. I don't adjust ball positioning for any shots, put the aero tee directly over the red dot.
