  • Altitude/Humidity/Temp Settings

How accurate are these settings in regards to real world distance? For the longest time I stuck with the default of 500, after switching to my location of 1200 I seem to be getting much more realistic distances to what i would see in real life. Should I be gaining 20-30 yards of carry off 700 more feet of altitude?

here you go. There's an equation about halfway through the article.

It will also depend on what software you are using. TGC does not roll out a whole bunch. @ Allen2be ..... What a great article explaining elevation. That will also explain why the drives at 3500 feet seem to roll out 2-3 times what they do on TGC. At my elevation, a drive with a ball speed of less than 160 can still roll out to 300 yards.

https://flightscope.com/products/trajectory-optimizer/ is a great resource to figure out what a ball should be carrying.
